Dance

This past summer, I had my patrons vote on which characters they wanted to see in my wallpapers next. Spencer and Jay were one of the winning choices in that poll. Because I had always wanted to do a continuation of this piece of art, I decided to go with that idea for my latest wallpaper.

Jay's very persuasive, obviously...

Everyone supporting me on Patreon can download this wallpaper here. (Patrons with higher pledges can also see the original sketch!) Not a patron, but still want to see these two being adorable on your desktop? You can download it from my online shop for just $1!

    1. Spencer hasn't tried killing Jay yet, so he mustn't hate it too much... :P

    1. Thank you! Spencer gravitates toward pale neutrals, while Jay likes bright blues and yellows, so making them look good together, while also figuring out a background that works for both color schemes, can be tricky sometimes. LOL.

  4. Awesome! Spencer all in white, though. I think that's asking for trouble. Heh.

    1. Spencer can always borrow Jay's jacket if he needs to hide any bloodstains... ^_^

  5. Very cool. (You have entirely too much fun with your work, young lady!)

Maybe Spencer should adopt my husband's "style" choices. He wears a shirt that matches whatever we're gonna eat for dinner. His choice of "red" for Italian food might be a safer match for Spencer, too... :)

    1. I get deeply depressed about my art on a daily basis, so...it's not all fun. LOL.

And Spencer's such a stubborn old man that I don't think it'd be easy to convince him to change his fashion style... XD

    2. You should never get depressed about your artwork. So many people enjoy it, so that is worth a smile. Your good artist – believe in that. Believe in your characters. Trust that they are worthy. Because they are.
      Chin up. :-)

    3. Aw, thank you for your kind words. Depression is something I struggle with in general, so it's easy for me to feel worthless as an artist when it seems like my career is going nowhere...

  6. Ooo, very cool! I like how you did the shadows of Spencer and Jay. It's a nice touch.

    1. Thank you! The background had looked a little too empty initially, so I added the shadows to give it more life. Was a good way to flesh it out without making it too busy for a wallpaper... :)

  7. It's really good, Heather! I take it Spencer isn't much of a dancer? LOL.

    1. Thank you! Spencer can dance just fine. He's just a lot more reserved than Jay, LOL.

    1. Thank you! Spencer and Jay will probably never have an excuse to dance in the actual webcomic, but I can at least make it happen for things like this, LOL.

    1. Spencer would probably perk up some more if a little bloodshed was thrown into the mix... XD

    1. Better for Jay to be the persuasive one than someone as messed up as Spencer! XD
