Seeing Red

Some of you may remember how I’m developing a horror webcomic. One of the main characters is a vampire. If any of you were under the impression that Spencer would be one of the "good guy" ones flooding the genre lately…uh, sorry. My muse just doesn’t swing that way!

    1. I hope so! I still have a lot of plotting ahead of me, haha. And thanks! :)

  2. He looks like such a cutie, though! I like good guys vamps, as long as they don't sparkle or have dopey teen girls trying to kill themselves for "love." I'm looking forward to anything you create!

    1. Thanks! Hopefully this silly webcomic of mine will be worth the wait... :)

And oh, I enjoy good guy vamps, too. Many of my favorite characters could be considered one, in fact! But...my writerly heart really craves the evil ones. LOL.

    1. Unless Jay's around. Then he's usually just cranky. ;)

      And thanks!

  4. It's amazing how much more sinister he looks without the glasses. ;) I love that he is a bad guy, even if people might not assume that on first glance. ;)

    1. Thanks, Sarah! Bad guy vampires seem to be so few and far between anymore, which is a shame, since they're a lot of fun to write/draw. And hopefully I'll be able to make him look sinister whenever he has his glasses on, too! ;)

  5. Oh no. He's going to have to be killed. (I'm not sure why that made me laugh.)

    1. LOL, Spencer better not get killed off anytime soon. He's one of the main characters, and...well, Jay needs someone to annoy! ;)

  6. Ooo, I love how the blood looks compared to the rest in black, white, and gray.

    1. Thanks, Cherie! Drawing in the blood was really tricky for me, so I'm glad you like the end result! :)

  7. He looks like a trouble maker!

I agree with Cherie - the contrast of the blood color looks pretty cool.

  8. I still think he's pretty handsome, good guy or not. :)

    1. LOL, others have been bringing up his cuteness, too, since I've posted this. Guess Spencer's doomed to have fangirls once his webcomic premieres? ;)

  10. I don't like sparkly vampires, so that works. :)

    1. Jay better not throw glitter on Spencer at some point, then! :P

  11. Heather, muses have a way of twisting and turning the plot in unexpected ways we do not forsee.

    1. LOL, I'm well aware of that. This character has been living in my head for over a decade, though, so there are certain things about him not even my muse can change at this point. ;)

  12. A horror webcomic. Cool. The 'bad' vampires in the Twilight books were pretty creepy, {Yep, I admit I read all :)

    1. LOL, my vampires are going to be nothing like the Twilight ones, especially since I'm inspired by folklore more than anything... ;)
