Out for a Walk

Spencer can be a pretty laidback guy, whenever Jay’s not pestering him

He can also be pretty homicidal, but hey. Minor detail.

  1. Or, you know, when he's not being all vampirery or trying to kill Christmas. ;)

I like this laidback version of Spencer. So approachable. ;)

  4. Does that gum ever get stuck on his fangs?

Laid back and homicidal doesn't seem to go together. Definitely an interesting character!

    1. Being undead and all, he's probably had enough time to figure out how to chew bubblegum properly... :P

And thanks! He's not always laidback, since Jay knows how to trigger his uptight size, but yeah. LOL.

  5. Looks so casual and free. That picture of him with blood on his mouth and fangs showing is a total juxtaposition to this guy.

  6. You're such a good artist. How do you create the art on computer?

    1. Aw, thank you! :)

I actually start off by drawing traditionally, with regular, ol' pencil and paper. I then scan the sketch onto my laptop to ink and color in Photoshop. (I used to ink traditionally, too, until I received a Wacom tablet a few months ago. Coloring has always been a digital step for me, though!)

  7. A laidback-homicidal man out for a walk. Locking my door.

  8. He looks so chilled in that picture, but I don't think I'd want to get on his wrong side!

    1. His good side isn't all that trustworthy, either, so yeah, it's probably best to avoid all sides of him! ;)

    1. Thanks, Tara! I'm a huge fan of giving my characters contrasts like that. And LOL, who knows if anyone will ever have the chance to flock to this webcomic, since it's taking me ages to put it together! XD

    1. Thanks! I really hope people enjoy my take on vampires. I plan to utilize some folklore that is hardly, if ever, seen anymore!
