Comic Review: The Misadventures of Grumpy Cat and Pokey! #1

Cover Artist: Steve Uy
Writers: Ben McCool; Ben Fisher; Royal McGraw; Elliott Serrano
Artists/Colorists: Steve Uy; Michelle Nguyen; Ken Haeser & Mohan

Grumpy Cat and her perky brother Pokey get into lots of adorable mischief in this new comic book series from Dynamite. (Hunting for treasure in a haunted house! Trying to turn on the ever-mysterious TV! Becoming costumed superheroes! Going to comic-con!) Although the writers and artists vary, each story is consistently hilarious and overall a joy to read. I can’t wait to see what Grumpy Cat and Pokey get up to next in issue #2!

  7. Sounds like a winner! I used to read a LOT of comics when I was a kid... back when they cost a nickel apiece, or two for a nickel for the used ones. With as lousy as most of the comic strips are in the newspaper these days, it might be worth the cost to buy a comic book or two... I could always say they're for my grandchildren... :)

    1. A nickle! That's awesome. Comics cost $4 or more lately, so I'm not able to buy as many as I'd like, LOL. They're definitely worth checking out, though. And there are a lot of adult comic book fans out there, so you can get away with saying they're for yourself... ;)
