Jay's Favorite Toy

Remember Spencer and Jay from that horror webcomic I’ve been developing? Ever wondered what their dynamic will be like in it? Well…

THAT'S NOT A GOOD WAY TO MAKE FRIENDS, JAY.

  1. Spencer looks like he won't be easy to puppet around, though... I bet he'll give Jay a hard time. ;-)

  2. Love the marionette style here (the strings ended up perfect, btw!)! The bold primary colors somehow gives it an eerie feel, fit for it's horror backing, or maybe that's just Jay's sinister expression. ;)

    1. Blue and yellow have always been Jay's colors to me, so while I was working on this, I was like, heeeey, let's go for a primary color scheme! LOL.

  3. Love Spencer's socks! And I have a feeling he won't be pushed around so easily.

    1. Jay probably wouldn't have as much fun if Spencer could get pushed around easily, LOL.

  4. *LOL* Loving it! Can I also say I like those socks without being too nerdy? :)

    1. LOL, if it's nerdy, you're in good company, then, since Nicholas has always loved all things argyle, even as a popular pretty boy! ;)

  6. I love this! It's really well done, and it says a lot about the characters and their relationship without actually saying anything. Good job!

    1. Thanks, Shelley! The image of this randomly popped into my head one night, and I had no choice but to draw it, since it fit the two of them so well, LOL.

    1. Thanks, Nick! I often can't share dark pieces of art, since they tend to spoil the project, so it was fun to be able to post something like this... :)

  11. Great teaser! Spencer looks stubborn, and Jay looks delighted with his mayhem. I love the way you used color in this, too.
I'm looking forward to reading it.
