Otto's Quest

A while back, I had the honor of doing a commission for author Shelley Sly. (Some of you may remember this guest post of hers.) This commission was based on a fictional video game that can be found in her latest novel, One Hundred Thirty Stars!

If anyone else would like to purchase a commission from me, you can check out my guidelines here. I don't have any to work on at the moment, so now would be the perfect time to hire me!

  1. I love your drawings. I just wish I had money to commission you. :)

And that hamster (I think it's a hamster) is so cute in that picture!

    1. Thanks! Took me ages to make that hamster look right. My first attempts kept looking like a cat! XD

    1. Thanks! I'd hate for my art to seem static when it shouldn't... :)

  10. Congrats on the commission and on the great image! You're very talented and I'd totally hire you if I had 1) graphic novel aspirations, and 2) any money. Wishing you many commissions!

    1. Actually, my commissions have nothing to do with graphic novels. My rates would be much, much different if they were! (Graphic novels are very extensive work, after all!)

  11. All the best, Heather in getting more commissions. It seems you could do graphic novels though (from my non-artist perspective :)

    1. Thanks! :) And heh, it's not that I can't do graphic novels, 'cause I can. It's just that my rates and overall guidelines would be different for work that's not only that extensive, but commercial. (Same for book covers and picture books.) If anyone ever wanted to hire me for something like that, we'd have to discuss things via email!

  12. I remember you posting this before and immediately loving the guy with the glasses, but looking at it now, I must also say how awesome those pink wings are and that adorable little blue bird. I'm going to work on my next commission request this weekend - it involves wings, too. ;)

    1. Thanks! I doubt I'll get too busy with commissions, though. My art style isn't usually something people want, LOL.
