Lindley & Spencer

Couldn't resist drawing Lindley and Spencer again, since I like their height difference! (There aren't enough stories out there where girls can not only be tall, but taller than the boys, IMO.) I can't wait to break them like I'm currently breaking Coco and Nicholas...

Some of you may remember these two dorks from this pic. The project they belong to is still broken, but drawing always helps me brainstorm, so hopefully the more I do this, the less broken their project will become...

  1. I like them already! They're so cute, and I like the height difference. But I think I like the glasses most of all.

    1. Thanks! Glasses are hard for me to draw, but I still try to include characters who wear them as much as I can. Glasses aren't represented enough in stories, especially when it comes to girls!

  2. Love the drawings! They look like intriguing characters with lots of personality. I hope their story gets unbroken soon. Good luck with it!

  3. Lindley and Spence are cuties! I love that your drawing helps you come up with ideas. Believe it or not, doing the dishes helps me solve plot problems! lol Have a great week and I hope the drawing leads you to new story ideas. :)

    1. LOL, I'm actually not surprised that washing dishes helps you. Doing something mundane and routine always seems to wake up the muse, like how so many get story ideas while walking or taking a shower...

  4. I'm looking forward to their story. I wonder what Spence has been telling Lindley in the picture.

    1. Based on how I've seen my characters interact in my head so far, Spencer seems to have an off-kilter sense of humor, so whatever he's saying, it's probably linked to that. LOL.

    1. Thanks! I already want to draw more for this project, but I've kind of neglected Echo Effect for the past few days, so I need to figure out how to properly balance the two, heh.

    1. Thanks! It's a mix of fun and frustration, I must admit, haha. (I'm impatient and want to know the gist of their story already!)

    1. Thanks! I still have a lot of work ahead of me when it comes to developing their project, but these characters have been fun for me to draw in the meantime... :)

  8. True, and girls are often taller in the beginning. I like their glasses too. A good start to the project!

    1. Thanks! Lindley comes from a tall family, so she's always going to be taller than many of the boys she meets... :)

  9. I've already said this before, but I am really loving Spencer's look. Lindley looks pretty cool, too and I love their height differences, too! LOL @ breaking them like you're breaking Nicholas and Coco. I love this side of you. ;)

    1. I actually changed Spencer's look a tiny bit for another pic, but when I completed it at the end of March, I was like...eh, no. So now I'm back to this look for all the new stuff I'm drawing. Haha!
