Jay

Still drawing characters from that untitled horror webcomic of mine.* Last time, it was Lindley and Spencer. This time, it’s Jay…

His character is a lot of fun for me to work with. (Even though I’d probably want to slap him in real life, since he has no sense of personal space.) I can’t wait for you guys to properly meet him in the webcomic…if I can ever stop it from being a broken mess, that is!

* None of the character designs for this project are final yet, so the more I end up drawing them, the more different they’re likely to look. Just figured you guys might be interested in seeing what I’m up to creatively!

    1. LOL, it may not be that soon, since I still have a lot to figure out when it comes to their story. I can draw silly pictures in the meantime, though! :)

    1. I can't either, but it's fun to make my characters suffer around people like that! :P

  3. Great work! I really need my personal space, so he would annoy me too!

    1. Let's hope Jay never becomes more than fictional, then! ;)

    1. I've...uh...never heard of Steve Space? I'm so clueless right now. Heh.

  5. He's cute, but chances are, I'd want to slap him, too. But if a character can make me feel like that, it's a good thing. :)

    1. I think it's safe to say he makes some of the other characters feel that way, too! ;)

  6. Love his expression and I'm looking forward to learning more about him and the rest of this comic's characters. I would also have to slap Jay though because there is nothing worse than people who can't understand the importance of personal space LOL.

    1. Thanks! And LOL, I wouldn't be surprised if Jay actually does get slapped in the webcomic at some point. He's that bad at respecting boundaries... XD

  7. He looks like the mischievous "in your space" sort of character! Looking forward to reading this!

    1. Thanks! I still have a lot to figure out, but hopefully I can find a way to premiere this webcomic sometime this century, LOL.

  8. Has Jay become a tad more handsome?

    1. Has he? If so, I didn't do it on purpose, LOL. The only character I've consciously tried to make sure is handsome is Nicholas from Echo Effect...

    1. Thanks! It won't be easy, but I'm hoping I will find a way to make it happen eventually, especially since these characters won't leave me alone! ;)

  13. Not much of a fan of people who don't respect personal space, but otherwise, he looks like a cool guy.

    1. Heh, yeah, as fun as he is for me to write and draw, I don't think I'd want to meet him in real life. I like my space to remain uninvaded! XD

  14. You have such an awesome talent for drawing comics - he looks awesome. I think it's great you picked someone with that character trait - it will make us all squirm and get edgy. Some people just don't get that whole personal space thing. :)

    1. Aw, thank you so much! Heh, yeah, personal space is weirdly hard for some people to grasp. As annoying as it can be in real life, I've had a lot of fun bringing that trait to life with this character! :)

  15. I guess I should shouldn't say you picked someone with that trait, but you gave someone that trait. :)

    1. LOL, I'd actually say it's a mixture of picked and gave, since my characters like to decide things for themselves sometimes! ;)

  17. Love what you did with his hair! He looks too "cool" for his own good, like I can totally picture him not understanding personal space - lol. Can't wait to learn more about his character!

    1. Back in the day, I thought he dyed his entire hair blond, but...that just never looked good in Photoshop, so I went with this instead! I can't wait to draw more pictures of him. He's easily one of my favorites in this series!
