Context? Who Needs Context?

These three dorks all belong to a horror series, I swear…

I won’t say too much about these characters. Their project is still in-development, so who knows what might change. But in order, this is Spencer (a friend of the main character), Lindley (the main character), and Jay (the stalker guy with no sense of boundaries).

Spencer and Jay have been in my head for over a decade. Lindley, however, is brand new, so it’s been fun to see how she interacts with them. (Yeah, I replaced the main character. What?! It’s my project. I CAN DO WHAT I WANT.)

And in case anyone’s wondering, that’s an insulin pump clipped to Lindley’s waist, to help with her diabetes. (People always seem to be wondering what my insulin pump is, at least, haha.)

These aren’t the only characters in this series, but they’re the only ones I’ve completed art of so far. If this series doesn’t die on me, maybe you guys will meet the rest someday…

  1. How very exciting! And a stalker type of character. That could be entertaining and scary. Best of luck developing it.

    1. Thanks! Stalkers seem to be a running theme for me, no matter what project I'm working on. Uh...whoops. XD

    1. Jay (the guy in blue/yellow) is a really fun character to work with. He's one of the few I haven't replaced while revamping this project, LOL.

  5. I really like it! I used to be a bit goth myself and wore shorts with tights a lot. So I relate to Lindley's sense of style! Hehehe!

    1. Her sense of style is completely different from the character she replaced. It's been a lot of fun for me to figure out and draw! :)

    1. LOL, not quite. Echo Effect won't be ending for another couple years, at least. I still have some twists in store for Coco and Nicholas!

    1. Thanks! It's crazy how many ideas I have for webcomics. I need to learn to draw faster so the world can seem them already! XD

  9. I think you're going to have fun creating a story for these characters.

    1. A mix of fun and frustration, I think, since I'm still trying to fix this story after "breaking" it the other day... XD

    1. I hope so, too! There will likely be more out-of-context art, at the very least! ;)

  13. I'm really loving the look of Spencer. And new character Lindley too! Didn't someone else have diabetes in this series before or am I remembering incorrectly? Someone's brother? It's hard to believe how long ago you told me about the original story, even wilder how long it's been with you. Glad to see it coming alive again! :D

    1. The character that Lindley replaced was diabetic. She's incredibly different from the original protagonist, but that's a trait I wanted to keep, since there aren't enough diabetic characters out there!

As for a diabetic brother, you might be thinking about Echo Effect, or even one of my other old projects, which I won't mention here yet, LOL. (Diabetics FTW.)

    1. Prove that it's horror? That's kind of hard to do until I premiere the webcomic, haha.
