Sort of Back, Sort of Not...

Remember how I said Echo Effect would return by July 21st? Um, yeah. Despite working on new comic strips every day, only two have been completed so far. (A single week of updates, basically.)

Echo Effect may not be ready to return, but I’m still trying to catch up with the blogosphere, at least. If I seem nonexistent sometimes, it’s because my webcomic needs the most focus right now. It may also be because I’m too depressed over my art and life in general to really peek in properly. (The main reason I've been MIA lately, to be honest...)

  2. I'm really sorry to hear depressions still has such a hold on you. That Apple White gif is the saddest ever - makes my own face frowny for you. I wish I could give you real life hugs, or whatever would help you escape this. :( Good luck trying to break free and getting back on a faster track with Echo Effect. Can't wait for it's return, but more importantly, your return. *HUGS*

  4. =( Don't be depressed about your art. I mean, I know this moping thing going with being an artist (my goodness, don't I know it!) but you're better than that. Let me give you a slap to the cheek, a wedge of cheese, and got solid ton of confidence. You rock!

  7. Aww, I'm sorry things haven't been going so well. Take the time to do what you need to. Don't worry about falling a bit behind. What's important is that you take care of yourself. We (your fans & friends) will understand and still look forward to Echo Effect whenever it returns. :)

  8. Not a good way to spend your time, Heather. I hope you're coming out of that depression and seeing just how wonderful you and your work are.

  9. I got so behind on my blogging rounds during April and May, and I'm still not getting around like I should. They say you never forget how to ride a bicycle, but you can sure as heck forget how to be a good blogger it seems. :)

Love the Frozen gif. I shall call it, "Shifty eyes." :D

  10. I'm trying to get back to my blogging, too, but...life just gets in the way. Just focus on what you really want, Heather, and go for it. Don't let it get you too down, because then the bastards win. LOL. But really, keep your eye on the prize and try not to look over your shoulder. You'll get there.

Plus I'm curious about the troubles you're gonna cause them! :)

    Smile and keep creating!

  13. I hate that you've been feeling down about your art! You're so talented. As both an artist and a storyteller. I love Echo Effect. The characters you've created are wonderful, and fully developed.
I know everyone gets down sometimes, though. I hope you're feeling better soon! :)

  14. Sorry about not feeling good about life or your work. Wish there was something I could do. Have you tried chocolate? Kidding. Sometimes you have to wade through it to get to the other side.
