Catching Up

I kind of disappeared from the blogosphere, didn't I? I wish I could say it was because of something awesome or exciting, but...nope. Boring me has mostly just been depressed working on Echo Effect. (Speaking of Echo Effect...Weekly Webcomic Updates will return this Friday. Can't believe I haven't typed one of those up since May!) I'm doing my best to catch up with everyone this week, but apologies in advance if it takes me a while to reach your blog! I seem to have missed a lot... *shifty eyes*

Aside from working on Echo Effect, I also caved and made more Ever After High fan art. (Surprised? Didn't think so.) It all started when I saw this screencap...

My muse was all, "Heeeeey, you should draw these boys in their snazzy Legacy Day outfits." So...I drew them in their snazzy Legacy Day outfits...

(Bigger versions here and here.)

I don't feel like these turned out that well, to be honest. Since I spent two whole days working on 'em, though...here they are. (Sorry, world!)

Hope June has been treating you all well so far!

  1. They look good to me! Their outfits are amazing.
I haven't been around the blogosphere much lately either. It's so hard to keep up with everyone!

  3. They look good to me, too! If I had drawn them, they'd be stick figures. Badly drawn stick figures. =)

  4. I'm seen you on Twitter but sometimes you just need to work on stuff and leave the blog hanging.

    1. Heh, yeah, I have a habit of lurking Twitter sometimes while working on art. Catching up with the blogosphere always seems to be more time-consuming!

  5. Take time for what you love. It's okay. Even if you don't think things turn out well all the time, it's practice (although they look great to me!).

    1. I agree, it's always good to get practice, but I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so I tend to have really high standards for my art, heh.

  6. I think they look pretty cool. Sometimes the blog has to take a back seat, must admit to feeling a bit like that myself lately.

    1. Yeah, blogging can be so time-consuming, a break is simply inevitable sometimes!

  7. Love the snazzy Legacy Day outfits and their expressions! I'm really ready for a blog break, so I understand how you fell. Take the time you need. Write, "I'm gone for a while to recover! See you later." I always say I've gone fishing. That's a lie. :-)

  10. I think they did turn out well! I like them. I'm looking forward to Echo Effect's return whenever you are ready. I haven't been blogging much either and also need to get caught up. But I think the blogosphere is slow in the summer anyway. Take care and take your time!

    1. Echo Effect technically hasn't left yet; I just haven't been linking to the latest strips on my blog, haha. (I will on Friday, though!)

And heh, the blogosphere might be slower in the summer, but the posts still add up when you haven't been keeping up! (I had missed around 200 posts, for example. AHHH.) Good luck catching up yourself!

    1. Aw, thank you! I always work hard on those things while drawing, so I'm glad you think I've pulled that off! :)

  14. LOL. Based on your obsession, I had to go look up Ever After High. Now I'm afraid to show my daughter because she will be more than obsessed. =)

    1. LOL, it's quite easy to get obsessed with Ever After High, so that fear is probably warranted... :P
