Babbling About Commissions

You guys remember how I do art commissions, right? I’m bringing them up today since I recently changed my rates. A single digital image still costs $15, but now each additional panel (for those who want a comic strip) costs an extra $15. I've also made the down payment one-half of the final price instead of one-third, since that’s easier for my math-averse brain to calculate! You can learn more about my commissions here.

And, for the curious, these are all the commissions I’ve done so far. My most recent one was of Stella and Christopher from Julie Flanders’ The Ghosts of Aquinnah, which you can see below…

If any of you ever want to purchase some personalized art and think my style would fit your needs, I hope you will keep me in mind!

  2. Half is definitely easier to calculate than a third. :)

    1. I haven't done any official graphic novels, but I do plan to collect my webcomic into a print volume, which will make it a graphic novel by default! ;)

  4. Very cool!!! I really like Rachel's idea . . . hmm. Or . . . do you think you could do several panes, like for a slide show book promo? You have me thinking . . .

  6. Great! I love what you did for Julie, and in the portfolio, the banner you did for Reaper was awesome! I loved the colors and expressions, not to mention the horns on the excellent typeface. Cool!

    1. Thank you! The typeface is actually the official logo for the show, so the horns were already part of it before this commission. ;)

  11. Thirds--no way my brain could handle that. And this is very good to know. I'm working on something and I'll let you know when I'm ready for some artwork. So glad I popped in and saw this

    1. Heh, yeah, I have no idea why I attempted thirds before. And I'm glad you're interested in some art! :)
