Hopper Croakington II

Oops, I made fan art of Hopper from Ever After High instead of concentrating on Echo Effect

(Source)

Since I know most—okay, all—of you won’t know what Ever After High is, it’s a doll franchise from Mattel starring the descendants of classic fairytale characters. The character I drew is the son of the Frog Prince, who always turns back into a frog when tongue-tied. Below is a screencap from one of the webisodes, so you can get a sense of what I was trying to mimic…

Now I’m going to go draw some more fan art! I mean, work on Echo Effect. Yes, that’s what I mean…

    1. Thank you! I did my best to make him seem frog-like, since he's a frog prince and all! :P

  2. It's so cute! And I love how you have him pulling at his collar like he's nervous. Great pic and have fun with whatever drawing you end up doing. :-)

    1. Thank you! I'm glad his nervousness came across in this pic, since he's such an awkward character. (Dude's only able to be suave in frog form, haha.)

    1. Thanks! I'm glad I was able to find good screencaps of his feet, so I could include details like that...

  4. Hehe this is funny. I like it. :)
And you mimicked it pretty well from what I can see. Between us though I like yours a little more. The original is too much like a girl. Ooops. :)

    1. Thank you! I think it was probably their intention for him to look more girly, to better contrast against characters like Daring Charming...

    1. Thank you! I always do my best to give characters as much personality as I can when drawing. It'd be too dull otherwise!

  6. LOL! Hey, fan art is good too. (Especially if you tag it and it brings you new blog traffic.) No effort is wasted, eh?

    1. Heh, true, especially since drawing new characters helps me grow as an artist. Drawing nothing but Coco, Nicholas, and Payne all the time is bound to stilt my skills!

    1. Thank you! There's so much fan art I want to work on, but I'm trying my best to focus on Echo Effect more. I feel like I'm falling behind!

  9. Glad I'm not the only one who gets distracted from my main project by other things which interest me.

    1. Heh, yeah, it is far too easy to get--

      *ooh shiny thing!*

      --um, distracted. ;)
