George Gladir

If you’re an Archie Comics fan like me, you likely recognize the name George Gladir. He wrote countless stories for the company and even co-created Sabrina the Teenage Witch with artist Dan DeCarlo. Sadly, he can write for Archie Comics no longer, sinceas I just discoveredhe passed away earlier this month.

Excuse me as I have a moment of silence for this magnificent writer…

  1. Don't know him but this is sad news. Sabrina was a great creation.

    1. Agreed. Dan DeCarlo passed away a few years back, too, which was just as devastating to me. It's always so sad to discover the deaths of such iconic creators like this...

  2. Always sad when talent passes away. But we are fortunate that they shared their talent with us while here.

    1. I feel the same way. Ever since learning about George Gladir's death, I've had this urge to dig up a bunch of comics he wrote to remember him and his talent...

  3. Oh, that's sad. Him and Ebert - both great writers - both gone. I loved Archie and Sabrina when I was young. Thanks for the post. :-)

    1. I heard about Ebert passing away, too. It's hard to imagine neither of them being here anymore!
