Betty & the Beast

You're all very well aware of how big of a fan I am of Archie Comics, right? Then it should come as no surprise to any of you that I recently read Betty and Veronica #265 and loved it. There are five reasons why the rest of you should read it, too:

1) The entire issue is a retelling of Beauty and the Beast.

2) The variant cover by Renae De Liz looks like this:

3) Veronica is a witch with plans I can’t help but support 110%...

4) A beast with a bowtie is somehow supposed to be menacing.

5) SASSY BETTY.

Why are you guys still reading this post?! Run off and buy this issue already!

  3. Beauty and the Beast is my fav Disney movie. I think I am the only girl alive who hates it when the beast turns back into the Prince. I like him better all furry and ferocious.

    1. Actually, I think you're far from the only one! Disney even decided to make Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas a midquel instead of a sequel since they knew everyone would rather see the Beast!

    1. It is, isn't it?! The cover alone makes the price of the comic worth it. Such a work of art!

  6. :( I don't have money to buy right now. I wish I can come to your place and borrow them. I'm assuming you have them all? ;)
I used to read Archie in high school, I hope someday to be able to indulge again. :)

    1. Veronica's awesome and doesn't bend over backwards trying to please Archie like Betty does, so I'm not surprised she's your fave. ;)
