It's My Book, Characters Will Cry If I Want 'Em To

I’ve been a bit of a slacker when it comes to CM lately, but I’ve slowly been getting back into the swing of writing. It is now over 34K words long so far, with the 20th chapter nearly complete! My protagonist can’t seem to help but fall victim to this in at least half those chapters, though, including chapter 1 and the unfinished chapter 20:

What? He’s depressed! This isn’t overkill, or a sign that I watch way too many CW shows. Nope, nope….

  1. Who's in the last video thing? I know the top two are Dean and Stefan but I can't seem to put a name to the last guy!

Hey! 34K words is fantastic. I wish I could say that I was anywhere close.

    1. It's Logan from Veronica Mars, one of the best shows ever! ;)

    2. Ahh! I haven't seen a Veronica Mars episode in a long time! I know right! I don't even know why is was cancelled! The ratings were pretty good!

    3. I know! I'm still sad it was cancelled. Both the writing and acting were so amazing. I've been so tempted to have a Veronica Mars marathon lately, haha.

    4. I would love one of them right now. VM definitely made my day when I watched it.

    5. Same here. It was a definite highlight for me! I gushed about it so much back in the day, people at school associated me with that show. (No one else watched it, apparently. Hah!)

    6. I knew quite a few people who watched it. They were mostly friends.

I've watched repeats since but it doesn't feel the same. I usually know what's going to happen.

    7. Yeah, reruns don't have that "Ooh! SHINY!" feeling like new episodes do. It's so fun seeing something new and not knowing what to expect. But I still love the reruns, because hey, old episodes are better than no episodes. ;)

    8. Haha! I used to write new episodes for my enjoyment.

We don't get many reruns though :(

    9. I own the DVDs of the show, so I don't have to worry about reruns, haha. A shame you don't get to see many, though! :(

    10. I never thought of getting the DVD. they tend to cost quite a lot. Ill have to see if I can get a few on sale.

Do you watch the Secret Circle?

    11. Since the show has been off the air for a few years, there's a chance the DVD sets will be cheaper now, where you're at. I know I saw a couple of the seasons on sale recently where I am, at least!

I tried watching a few episodes of The Secret Circle, since I enjoyed the books and love a lot of the actors in it from other things, but...I just couldn't get into it. Either it bored me or made me want to punch the TV screen with certain changes they made.

    12. I'll see if I can get it off Amazon. I've looked in discount shops and supermarkets.

I found the first few episodes boring but it's gotten much better. I'm liking it more than the Vampire Diaries.
